Summer Time Yoga!

I feel so alive and energised in summer! The sun fills me with joy, warms my heart and brings many large smiley moments. Where most of our time is spent down by the ocean, cleansing ourselves in the sea, feeling the planet breathe with the rolling waves.

The ocean is by far one of my most favourite places to be all year round.

As usual, an early morning walk to the beach for some yoga is a must do for this Summer, so grab your mats or towels for your next trip to the seaside! 🙂

Of course let’s start with salutations to the beautiful mornings sun. Being grateful for the Summer shine.

Hiss like a cobra snake.

Lift up into Downward Dog.

And take some time out to rest and listen to the waves in Child’s Pose.

Maybe you could even try an energetic warrior sequence!

And find some balance in Tree Pose.

Now lets prepare for a shoulder stand in Breaching Whale Pose.

Now back over into Balasana, Child’s pose to rest.

Let’s stretch it out now to cool down.

Try some leg raises.

And some beautiful spinal twists.

Let’s relax now in Shavasana.

Hand on your heart and belly. Listening to the rhythm of your breath and the flow of the waves crashing gently on the shore.

Feeling the earth grounding you under your body, the vibrations healing you and supporting you as you relax and soften every muscle in your body.

Feeling proud of yourself as you lay completely supported and loved.

Enjoy your summer, my stretchy friends!

Much love and sunshine! 🙂
